Architects of a world in motion
The Hermès workshops in Pierre-Bénite are home to the brand's printing and textile finishing expertise. The challenge of this extension project was to reorganize the processes of the site's various functions (production, storage, offices and catering) to support the company's growth. Restructuring the site involved prioritizing flows and functions, and creating a footbridge linking the northern and southern parts of the plot. More than just a physical link, the footbridge will promote cross-fertilization between the industry's various trades.

In detail
Sustainable development approach This project is part of an ambitious environmental approach, meeting the criteria of the Sustainable Environment Guidelines established by Hermès at the Silver level. This standard is divided into three parts:
- Ecological footprint;
- Well-being;
- Resources.
The sober architecture brings coherence to the site while meeting the criteria of the Biosourced building label: eco-labelled materials, use of geothermal energy for heating and air conditioning... among others! Particular attention has been paid to natural lighting and the quality of spaces to ensure the well-being of employees.
With this extension, Hermès reaffirms its commitment to an exceptional textile industry, combining innovation, respect for heritage and environmental excellence.
